I installed the Fedora Core 2 upgrade on my trusty laptop today...
So far...so good.
Details on my Fedora adventures later.
I stumbled across a nice lil resolution to the sharing of subfolders within Outlook today. It?s no spectacular fix, in fact, it is quite underwhelming, but it is a satisfying fix all the same.
When a user wants to delegate access to a specific subfolder in Outlook, you can?t take the usual ?Open Other Users Folder? path through the File menu. If you choose to do so, you will only have access to the main folders within Outlook (Inbox, Calendar, Contacts, etc.)
Let?s say you have several subfolders within your Inbox that you need to share out, but would prefer to keep the contents of your Inbox private. In order to accomplish this, the following steps must be taken:
*Give User B ?View Folder? access to the root of the Mailbox and the Inbox (since that?s where the subfolder resides) on User A?s Outlook client. Then, grant User B the customized permissions to the subfolder(s).
*Within User B?s Outlook client, add User A?s Mailbox via the Tools-Options-Email Accounts-Advanced section
It?s a damn simple solution, but it is quite useful.
I just finished watching the E3 presentation of the multiplayer demo of Halo 2.
I would type faster if not for the drool on my keyboard. Ohhhhhhh bring it, baby! Come to, Mama! Beware ye XBOX Live challengers for I shall rule your Halo World with an iron fist!
The release date is not only set in stone for November 9, 2004, but tattooed upon Pete Parsons?s arm!
Gimmie gimmie gimmie!
It?s E3 and with E3 comes quiet hallways, the soft hum of abandoned PCs and very few users to be found. The Video Game Makers are out and about preparing themselves for Fan Boys and the inevitable drunken stupor.
Oh, how I wish I were going.
Next year, dear reader, next year.
BOOM BOOM
BOOM BOOM
Yeah, that?s right, doin my lil happy dance! In your face non Beta Gmailers!
(Thank you, steve! You rock!)
So a few weeks back, The Princess had her first trip to the Emergency Room since childhood.
I began to lose sight and get tunnel vision followed by the most excruciating headache ever. After a Spinal Tap that lasted over an hour and half and resulted in a multitude of holes up and down my back and a surreal Cat Scan, the conclusion? Stress. Stress? Pashaw! I lead a damn easy life, stress is something I experienced when I was younger, it has nothing on me now that I?m a productive member of society! Stress! Come on! So I hate my bosses and wonder why their heads don?t explode under my intense gaze, but seriously, who doesn?t have situations like that every now and then? It is a natural part of life. Frankly the idea of stress resulting in such immense pain pisses me off. It makes me come off as, well, as a pussy and I?m not game for that dear reader. I?m a tough broad, damnit! Stress has come in many forms throughout my life and my current days don?t even compare to real stress, so what?s up with that? I guess I?m just getting soft in my old age. That sucks.
This had led to the inevitable, ?Don?t get so emotionally vested in work,? mentality. Hmmmm why is it so wrong to be so attached to your job? I love working and working hard and I adore long hours, of which, I have not had enough of as of late (stupid change from salary to hourly bites). It?s something I enjoy so I suppose I need to get back to not concentrating on The Morons I report to and concentrate on the users I support.
