E3 For Me

So I?m going to E3 this year. It will be my first time there and I?m really looking forward to it. It was such a hassle getting a room reserved even though the expo is five months down the road. I guess I should have expected it to be an amazingly popular event, but all the same, you?d think five months in advance is a good lead time, right? Work sets aside a block of rooms, but I have a feeling it would be difficult for me to get one of those considering gaming has little to do with IT work. Well, I lucked out and got a decent joint to lay my head at night and I?m happy about that.

I?m most excited to see the XBOX2. I?ve heard the PS3 and a new Nintendo console will also be featured there as well, so it seems to be a nice mixture of next-gen entertainment that awaits me (and thousands others).

I am a bit anxious about the trip though. With all the things I?ve heard from my co-workers, E3 is a hell of party and I?m cool with that, but I?m under the impression most the fun resides in strip clubs and hookers. I?m all up for goin out, drinking and having a good time, but I think I will find myself without buddies to hang out with once the Convention Center locks its doors.

I know the Booth Babes are a big attraction so I wonder if they have Booth Studs. I see all these snapshots around work with the various videogame making boys and several beautiful ladies from their E3 adventures so I think it is time I add something like that to my Fort wall. With the increase of women in gaming, one can only hope they start marketing to our primal desires as well, right? Yeah?ahem?right.

I hear there are some pretty major parties, but I highly doubt I?ll get into such shindigs, so I will just concentrate on what?s out there on the exhibition floor. I may take a side trip to Vegas after the show with The Farm Boy and try my luck at a few of the casinos. I suspect The Man will put me on a budget before I leave considering I tend to think of money as candy. Mmmmm money candy.

If anyone has any advice or anything I absolutely have to experience, let me know.

Yes, I've been twice. Be prepared for sensory overload. Take a camera of some type because you won't remember what you saw the hour before. You're in good shape if you're going for more than one day, because you can take your time to get a quality look at everything. I'd also recommend taking a little soft travel cooler for water and lunch. Unless you like waiting in line for 30+ minutes to pay $20 for a cheeseburger and chips.

HAVE FUN!

PS- I seem to recall the occasional booth stud. You can make fun of the boys standing in line to take pictures with girls that they'd never have a shot at in a million trillion years!

MAYBE YOU SHOULD TAKE A GIRL FRIEND WITH YOU SO THAT YOU HAVE SOMEONE TO GO OUT AND DRINK IT UP WITH AT NIGHT...HHHMMMMM WHO COULD THAT BE????? ANY WHO..SOUNDS LIKE FUN PRINCESS......I MISS YOU ...HUGS

While I have no idea about the booth studs (or babes, for that matter), drop me a line if you'd like to meet and all.

I'm not exactly a party hound, but I know one or two non-strippy joints around here by now...

Actually, the fun is in sneaking into parties you are not supposed to be at :) I'm hoping to hit Sony this year.
