Ring Ring?

So I acquired a rather user friendly shirt this weekend that I'm pleased to debut here. Click here, dear reader.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to wearing that to work tomorrow.

That picture was taken with my trusty new Motorola V400 phone. We have a new carrier for our work phones which gave me the opportunity to upgrade my phone (I paid for this model myself). The IT Department received new phones, along with portions of the rest of The Company (new contract with only one carrier to make things easier).

Unfortunately, our new carrier bites. The incredibly poor signal strength and dropped calls has been a bit annoying to say the least. We typically are unable to complete a call within any of our work buildings, but I have found that if I'm in the IT Lab, a call will go through with minimal breakups if I open the door to the Lab. I have no idea how that makes any sense. It should be interesting to see how the users react to the new carrier.

I'm willing to shell out the cash myself for better service coverage, so if anyone knows a carrier I can use the V400 with, please let me know.

I'm always amazed at the level of competency in the decision-making ranks... After all, who would consider *testing* a new carrier before deploying it company-wide?

I do know that T-Online supports the V400 (at least I think I do), and I'm generally very happy with them. (I had T-Online back when I was there, and it worked nicely)

Don't know about other carriers, but I'd think pretty much every carrier would support the phone - we're slowly getting standardized in the world of cell phones
