I'm either getting old, crotchety, or both, because I can't stand most advertising anymore. It's like those radio ads for car insurance where the guy calls up pretending to be his mother "explaining" why he has so many tickets, so be sure to give him good insurance...I hear them ALL the time, and it makes me want to jab the car antenna into my ear.

I started muting the TV during commercials a couple weeks ago! How's that for old and crotchety? My wife says her grandfather does the same thing. They just seem so... loud.

It's sad just how much we're bombarded with advertising in our daily lives. It'd be interesting to see how much money someone would spend in a day if they "bought into" every advertisement they were presented with.

What do you mean, advertising? I switched to ReplayTV a long time ago, and I'm not seeing *any* commercials at all. Ah - life is beautiful.

Now I just need an auto commercial skip for my real and electronic mailbox. And a remote cattle prod for telemarketers. Then, my life will be perfect. :)

Sure, Groby, ever since I got a TiVo, commercials haven't been a large part of my TV viewing experience, but I still watch plenty of live TV and that's when these 'beings' made their way into my life.

Quizno's commericals have things called spongemonkeys....they just have human eyesand busted hilbilly teeth... i think it is crazy funny!!! This commerical is genius where people like it or not... they got ya talking about their company..... just to inform ya

You're right about that juicey...they sure did get us talking and I certainly realize that was the whole point.

All the same, that damn song has not left my head in weeks! Weeks I say! :)
