Sweet, Sweet Snowboarding Love
I have a gushing, schoolgirl love for my new game. It's quite twisted, actually, but so am I, hence a perfect fit. After numerous adventures with my XBOX this week, SSX3 has made all the hassle well worth it. McGroarty saved the day by fixing the unit in question and The Farm Boy also came through in the clutch with the necessary replacement hardware. Man, working at a game company sure comes in handy! I did feel a bit ridiculous having someone else fix something for me, after all, I am Princess Fix IT right? Well, dear reader, I can fix thousands of things, just not the other fifty billion. Bummer, ain?t it? Anyhow, most of my weekend has been spent glued to my latest obsession. I suspect many more hours will be wasted simulating physical activity in a computer generated world. Sweet!

Polly and I believe the addition of the square "recover" button was a stroke of brilliance. You can still hit select, but you take a nasty boost penalty. As we all know, boost in SSX is just a legal digital drug.

Erm...I forgot people actually play this on an X-Box. Square and Select buttons on the PS2. Right beside the Any Key.

Mmm ... simulating physical activity.

I agree -- recover = good.
Is it me or is this game extremely easy? While I was no slouch at the original SSX, it's been a while since I've played, yet I was able to get medals pretty damn quickly.

Gotta love the recover. I don't think it's overly easy, vince, but I do think playing the previous versions help considerably. Especially when it comes to combo tricks. The Tricky version was much harder in that aspect. I practically broke my poor lil fingers while trying to pull off some of them!
Ever find that Any Key, Paul? :)

Woohoo! Comment Spam!
Princess, would you be so kind to share the IP of the poster? I'd like to have some fun with him, and the domain for his spam is unfortunately not registered....
You're not the only recipient of this. A search for "it becomes quickly lugubrious" reveals hundreds of spammed blogs. It's a worrysome thing. Not only does it ruin blogs, it undermines the worth of google. If I ever wanted to find the original text, I'd be hosed. So let's find the guy and publicly draw and quarter him.

Done. Bastards.

Allright. It's a company in Israel, (bezeqint.net). They are a known spam source, listed in several DNS blacklists.
You might want to check out MT-Blacklist. http://www.jayallen.org/projects/mt-blacklist/
Helps keep you a spam-free zone. It's only a first step, though - it doesn't hook up with the public DNS blacklists. And, for added fun, one might want a tarpit for comment spammers. I think I'll get right on that :)
