A 24-hour Work Shift, 350+ PCs and One Nasty Little Worm Later

I don't know about your Friday, but I do know this:

Virus protection is a necessary evil. Period. Ya got that?

Save your speeches for when I come back and really get on my high and mighty IT horsey.

But for now...

A nice, relaxing "I've been married a whole year!" vacation...

Congrats! My two year anniversary is on Tuesday. Two years?!?! Already? Sheesh.

Was going to post a longish comment here, but it turned into a small article at my blog instead.

Thanks, Paul! Yeah, the time certainly does seem to fly by...

jojo...oh please, woman! It was so cool of you to help us out like you did.

Groby...I anticipate something I will not like, but I will read it anyway :)

So? Didja, or didja not like it? Your comment is rather cryptic :->

I understood what you were saying and think it's great you will patch your system, but I'm so on the fence about force patching, it's difficult for me to take any official position.

Force Patch Us, Oh Princess.

Seriously. Yes, I understand sometimes things break. They did anyways after the virus debacle, right? Plus, that way, maybe we get our vendors to actually fix their crappy software.

At least with XP machines, we should be able to roll back in the worst case, right?
